Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Richmond, Texas store, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement and salon operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to drive sales.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, and animal handling.
