Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service, salon operations, and sales to uphold our high standards of pet health, safety, and satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care following PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise, and promote salon growth to meet sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues by transporting to vets as needed.
- Participate in store-wide support and embody our culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, computer proficiency, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy, noisy settings with reasonable accommodations available.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and merchandise, drive salon sales
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and report sick/injured pets
- Assist other departments and uphold company policies
