Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Richmond, KY salon, you'll deliver best-in-class grooming services for dogs and cats, ensure pet health/safety, and provide exceptional pet parent experiences. This role demands passion for pets, sales drive, and commitment to salon excellence in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu and standalone services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness/sanitation; respond to sick/injured pets and assist other departments as needed.
- Follow all company policies while promoting team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, and animal handling.

- Drive salon sales targets and participate in store culture initiatives
