Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products, and drive salon sales targets.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and promote company culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in wet, noisy settings with live animals.
