Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Riverside, CA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and salon excellence while sharing responsibility for cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per company procedures.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet if needed.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and foster a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair/wet environment with moderate-high noise and live animal exposure.
