Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon sales and maintaining top cleanliness standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
• Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
• Ensure salon hygiene through daily maintenance, end-of-day cleaning, and immediate action on sick/injured pets.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to our inclusive culture.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize meticulously. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking extensively, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate-high noise. Flexible scheduling required (evenings, weekends, holidays).
