Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive experiences. This full-time role in Roanoke, TX, involves engaging pet parents, performing grooming services, and maintaining salon standards. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and upsell merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- Prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion/technical evaluation.
- Strong computer proficiency, organizational skills, and attention to detail/safety.
- Excellent verbal/written communication; composure under pressure.
- Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.
