Role Overview

PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog and/or Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet pet needs and sales goals.
• Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Key traits: computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet environments.
