Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Rochester, NH location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon operations and contribute to sales goals in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage appointments, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
- Recommend wellness solutions, upsell services/merchandise to achieve sales targets.
- Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation, monitor pet health, transport sick pets to vet if needed.
- Assist other departments, participate in company culture, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, organization, and ability to lift 50+ lbs in a wet, noisy environment with live animals.
