Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding top safety standards. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise, and drive salon sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, client records, and reminder calls for seamless operations.
- Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation daily and respond immediately to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments while following all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling pets in a dynamic, pet-hair-filled space.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities

- Engage pet parents to recommend services and merchandise while achieving sales targets
- Manage salon operations including check-in/out, reservations, and reminder calls
