Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Rockford, IL location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold PetSmart's vision by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and health standards in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
- Handle check-in/out procedures, phone reservations, and sales register.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform end-of-day cleaning, and monitor pet health.
- Promote merchandise and services to meet sales targets.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
