Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service to drive positive experiences and salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation; respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Collaborate across departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, moderate-noise environment.
