Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service to drive salon success and pet parent satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, client records, reminder calls, and rebooking.
• Maintain impeccable salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist other departments as required.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
