Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding top health/safety standards. This hands-on role combines grooming expertise with customer engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments/check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane pet conditions; respond to health issues by transporting to vet if needed.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a recognition-driven culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and lift 50+ lbs. Flexible scheduling essential; physical demands include standing, stooping, and exposure to wet/noisy pet environments.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities

- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions and upsell services/merchandise
- Manage salon operations including check-in/out, reservations, and client communications
