Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This full-time position upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise to boost sales.
• Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness, pet safety, and immediate response to health issues, including vet transport if needed.
• Participate in store culture, assist other departments, and meet sales targets.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays mandatory. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
