Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time position with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs, recommend services/products to boost sales targets.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records using computer systems.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness/sanitation; monitor pet health and transport to vet if needed.
• Participate in store culture, assist other departments, and uphold company policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, strong organization, attention to safety, and excellent communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hairy environments and live animals. Depth perception and moderate noise tolerance essential.
