Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while sharing responsibility for salon cleanliness. Ideal for groomers passionate about animals and customer service in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise, and achieve sales targets.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
• Maintain salon sanitation, pet safety; respond to sick/injured pets and assist other departments as needed.
• Participate in company culture, policies, and recognition programs.

Experience & Skills

Requires prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion with safety certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments common.
