Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist), you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering best-in-class salon services while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness, pet health, and safety. This role offers flexibility across dog and cat grooming with opportunities to grow salon metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Recommend health/wellness solutions based on pet needs; promote sales to meet targets.
• Manage pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Maintain highest cleanliness/sanitation; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
• Respond to sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed; assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion/certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.
