Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our San Antonio, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and rebookings.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations, merchandise upsells, and achieving productivity targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, moderate-noise environment.
