Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. You'll uphold our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in our San Antonio location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Monitor pet health; transport sick/injured pets to vet as needed. Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize with safety focus. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
