Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. Uphold safety standards, drive sales, and contribute to a clean, welcoming salon.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and rebooking.
• Maintain salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure pet safety.
• Promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets; assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Excel in high-pressure situations, demonstrate strong organization, communication, and computer skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy environments. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
