Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our San Carlos, CA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, engage pet parents, and uphold PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales targets in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions, manage pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, and register.
- Handle reservations, check-in/out procedures, client records, and rebooking.
- Promote salon sales, merchandise, and services to meet productivity goals.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
