Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our San Diego, CA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service and sales to drive salon success.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, and promote merchandise to meet sales goals.
• Maintain salon cleanliness, monitor pet health, and respond to emergencies like transporting sick pets to vets.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records with strong communication.
• Assist other departments and uphold company policies for a collaborative store environment.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and safety focus. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair-filled environments.
