Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role demands grooming expertise, customer engagement, and commitment to cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and client communications.
- Drive salon sales through merchandise and service promotions.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene and respond to pet health issues promptly.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must possess computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy environments.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and merchandise
- Manage salon check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
- Assist with sales targets and other store duties as needed
