Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, pet safety; respond to health issues including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to store metrics.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion/technical evaluation. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and manage flexible schedules. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
