Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Santa Clarita, CA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales goals in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and upsell merchandise/services.
- Handle pet parent interactions, reservations, check-in/out procedures.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and participate in company culture initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and merchandise
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
- Promote salon sales and achieve productivity targets
