Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold our vision for pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products/services to boost sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking, client records.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and safety; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance checklists.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed; assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy certification. Excel in computer use, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organization, detail-oriented safety focus, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
