Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Sarasota, FL location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales goals in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to meet pet needs.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records; promote salon sales targets.
• Maintain highest cleanliness/sanitation levels; respond to sick/injured pets and assist other departments as needed.
• Uphold company policies, participate in recognition culture, and ensure humane pet conditions.

Experience & Skills

Required Qualifications

• Prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation pass.
• Computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure.
• Strong organization, attention to safety/detail, communication skills.

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift 50+ lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in wet/noisy environments with animals. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.
