Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Saratoga Springs, NY location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with sales savvy and outstanding pet parent service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary shaves.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products to boost pet health and salon revenue.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking, and client records.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist other store departments as required.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
