Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet health and safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This full-time role in Saskatoon demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and salon maintenance in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and drive salon sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and promote company values.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer skills, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in wet/noisy settings with live animals.
