Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth. Located in Saugus, Massachusetts, you'll thrive in a fast-paced setting prioritizing pet health, safety, and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Monitor pet health, transport sick/injured pets to vets as needed; assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize meticulously. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals. Flexible scheduling for evenings/weekends/holidays required.
