Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll perform full grooming menus, maintain salon standards, and contribute to store success through sales and safety protocols in a fast-paced, pet-loving setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, pet safety, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, noisy environment with animals.
