Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales opportunities in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive salon sales.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, monitor pet health, and respond to emergencies.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, and client communications in-person and via phone.
- Collaborate across departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy, noisy settings.
