Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds our vision of best-in-class grooming while maintaining salon cleanliness, safety, and sales excellence. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation; respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in our culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong communication, and organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
