Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health, safety, and cleanliness standards. Based in Silverdale, Washington, this role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and safety; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
• Assist other departments and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart’s Salon Academy certification. Strong organizational skills, attention to safety, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
