Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in Simi Valley, CA, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and uphold PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records; greet and assist pet parents in-person and via phone.
- Maintain salon sanitation, humane conditions, and perform daily/end-of-day cleaning; respond to sick/injured pets.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.
