Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds cleanliness, pet health/safety, and drives salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement in a dynamic retail environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect standing, lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handling pets in wet/noisy conditions with pet hair exposure. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook services.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, calls, and sales register.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; address sick pets immediately.
- Promote sales to meet targets; assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming or 6 months PetSmart training with certification. Excel in composure under pressure, organization, communication, and computer use. Passion for pets and safety essential.
