Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist), you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming skills with customer engagement in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend solutions, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and client records.
- Maintain salon cleanliness and respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Collaborate across departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must possess computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.

- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions and upsell services/merchandise
- Manage salon check-in/out, reservations, and client communications
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and health standards
- Assist in other store departments and respond to pet emergencies
