Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail setting. Ideal for animal lovers committed to pet health, safety, and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per company standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products, and manage appointments via phone/in-person.
- Drive salon metrics by promoting sales, rebooking, and upselling merchandise.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Handle check-ins/outs, client records, and assist across store departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and prioritize safety. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair/wet environments with flexible hours including weekends/holidays.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities

- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and handle sick/injured pets immediately
- Drive salon sales through promotions and rebooking appointments
