Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in St Augustine, Florida, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, engage pet parents, and uphold PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction. This full-time role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
- Recommend wellness solutions, upsell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Maintain salon cleanliness via daily checklists; respond to sick/injured pets.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, noisy environment with live animals.
