Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This hands-on role in our St Catharines store involves full grooming menus, client consultations, and maintaining top hygiene standards in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and full grooms per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products, and handle reservations/check-ins.
- Drive salon sales, manage client records, and promote rebooking for repeat business.
- Uphold cleanliness/sanitation, monitor pet health, and transport sick pets to vets as needed.
- Flexibly assist other store areas while embodying company values.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and lift 50+ lbs in a wet, pet-filled setting. Organizational prowess and schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays) are essential.

- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and handle pets in wet, noisy environment (experience)
Responsibilities

- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products, manage check-in/out and reservations
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and respond to sick/injured pets
