Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and satisfaction. This hands-on role involves grooming, client interaction, and salon operations in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time position with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products, and upsell to meet sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, humane pet conditions, and immediate response to sick/injured pets.
- Promote positive pet parent experiences and assist other store departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong communication, and organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in wet, pet-filled settings with moderate to high noise.
