Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Sugarland, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while engaging pet parents. Uphold PetSmart's vision by ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and upsell services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and consultations.
- Maintain salon cleanliness via daily checklists; respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
