Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This full-time role in our Summerville store demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Work in a dynamic environment with live animals, moderate noise, and physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, stoop, kneel; lift 50 lbs frequently, team lift 100+ lbs; exposed to wet areas, pet hair, and mechanical parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and upsell services/merchandise.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene and respond to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or complete PetSmart's Salon Academy training. Excel in high-pressure settings with strong organization, communication, and computer skills. Flexible scheduling essential for evenings, weekends, holidays.
