Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog and/or Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales contributions in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend services, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold impeccable salon cleanliness, pet safety, and respond to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in recognition programs.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy environments.
