Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming with customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and teeth brushing.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive salon sales through recommendations.
- Ensure salon sanitation, perform maintenance, and take immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, client records, reminder calls, and promote merchandise to meet targets.
- Assist other departments and embody PetSmart's values of recognition and inclusion.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and lift up to 50 lbs in a pet-filled, wet, noisy setting. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.

- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and handle pets in wet/noisy environments (experience)
