Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Suwanee, Georgia location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service and sales to uphold PetSmart's vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, and promote salon growth.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Drive sales targets through merchandise recommendations and rebooking services.
- Assist across departments and embody company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy environments.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products while managing check-in/out and reservations
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and handle sick/injured pets immediately
- Drive salon sales through promotions and merchandise recommendations
- Participate in store culture, follow policies, and assist other departments as needed
