Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist), you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and client records.
- Maintain salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues.
- Participate in team culture, follow policies, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, and sanitary care
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions and upsell services
- Manage salon check-in/out, reservations, and client communications
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and perform end-of-day maintenance
- Assist with sales targets, merchandise promotion, and cross-department support
