Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Tampa, FL location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales targets in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and rebookings.
- Recommend wellness solutions, promote merchandise/services to boost salon metrics.
- Maintain humane conditions, daily sanitation, and respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and embody our culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion with safety certification. Need computer skills, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
