Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding our vision for pet health and safety. This hands-on role involves grooming, customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
• Handle check-in/out procedures, phone reservations, and client records.
• Maintain salon cleanliness, perform end-of-day maintenance, and ensure pet safety.
• Promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Requires prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
